Recuerde: si es un usuario registrado del programa con el contrato de soporte en vigor recibirá las instrucciones para las correspondientes actualizaciones por email, normalmente unos días después del lanzamiento de la nueva versión.

Version 6.3 (Windows) Abril 2010

• Creación más rápida de las miniaturas de fotografías
• Mejor comunicación con Photoshop, cada versión tiene su propio motor de comunicación. Esto significa además que puede tener varias versiones de Photoshop instaladas en el mismo equipo.
• El aspecto de la aplicación ha cambiado para adaptarlo a los nuevos operativos.
• Puede hacer zoom para agrandar ( Clic) o disminuir ( Ctrl + clic) en las vistas previas.
• En la gestión de fotografías puede seleccionar distintas fotografías manteniedo pulsado CTRL y haciendo clic sobre las mismas, no es necesario que sean fotos contiguas.
• El autorellenado de plantillas con fotografías puede hacerse seleccionando previamente las fotos en la ventana de Album DS sin que éstas tengan que ser contiguas, además Album DS respetará el orden de la selección al introducirlas en la plantilla.
• El registro del programa ha sido modificado y deberá volver a registrarlo, todavía es dependiente del equipo pero ya no lo es del disco ni del sistema operativo.
• El instalador y actualizador ha sido integrado en el programa, por ello la carpeta Installer y la utilidad AlbumDSInstaller ya no son necesarias; la carpeta Installer\Temp que contenía las descargas de complementos ha sido sustituida por la carpeta Downloads.
• No es necesario registrar librerías en Windows y por ello puede hacer una copia de seguridad de la carpeta de Album DS y restaurarla sin instalar ( igual que en un Mac ;) )
• Añadida la función Album - Crear hojas indice, creará una serie de documentos en la carpeta indice conteniendo una vista previa de la hoja y la lista de fotografías utilizadas en la misma junto con sus miniaturas.

• En los Mac el usuario puede seleccionar si guardar la plantilla con sus propias fotografías o las numeradas, en PC ésta función ya existía.
• Las fotografías numeradas para guardar con la plantilla se almacenan ahora en el fichero de predefinidos en vez de ser ficheros JPG sueltos para mayor limpieza en la carpeta principal.
• Incluído un control de error para cuando se importan más de 2000 fotografías en el gestor de fotografías.

• Las plantillas usadas se marcan ahora del mismo color que las fotos usadas, una plantilla es considerada usada en el momento en que se abre. Se pueden marcar y desmarcar libremente con el menú auxiliar ( botón derecho del ratón) sobre las plantillas. Este control de plantillas usadas es distinto para cada álbum y se guarda con el mismo.
• Abrir y crear álbum se ha separado en distintas opciones de menú de modo que sea más sencillo de abrir, abrir recientes y crear un nuevo álbum. La edición de álbum es la que permite modificar las dimensiones del mismo y se activa automáticamente tras crear un álbum nuevo. El menú de álbumes recientes guarda la relación de los últimos 5 álbumes.
• Los clipart aceptan ahora ficheros en formato PDF que se incorporan a la hoja como objetos inteligentes, es necesario tener la versión CS2 de Photoshop o superior. Esta función se utilizará con los calendarios del 2010.
• El instalador de Macintosh se ha modificado para incluir un motor de descarga más rápido y fiable. 
• El instalador recoge los datos de cada usuario online, esto significa que un usuario podrá ver las novedades y si está al día en su contrato de soporte descargarlas e instalarlas. Las opciones que no puede descargar se marcan en rojo. Si un instalador no tiene email solo podrá instalar las opciones desde un DVD.
• Se incluyen 20 plantillas básicas de calendarios así como 12 plantillas para España, USA e Internacional. Se incluyen además los cliparts y fondos ( en formato clipart) necesario para estas plantillas.
• Las fechas en los calendarios son cliparts en formato PDF, de este modo se puede utilizar cualquier plantilla para cualquier mes. El usuario puede así mismo confeccionar sus propios meses con cualquier herramienta ( Excel, Open Office, etc) y luego imprimirla en formato PDF para guardarla en una carpeta de Cliparts ( recuerde guardar también una miniatura de 100x100 pixels).
  El mejor modo de fusión de esta capa de fechas suele ser "multiplicar" para hacer invisible el fondo de los meses.

•  Las plantillas se han renombrado para que la numeración del filtro quede en la parte posterior del nombre facilitando de este modo la ordenación de las plantillas lo cual resultará muy útil en el relleno automático del álbum.
• La gestión de las medidas predefinidas de álbumes se ha rediseñado para que sea más sencillo de utilizar e importar nuevas medidas. Se incluye ademásla diferenciación entre guias superiores e inferiores así como derecha e izquierda.
• La versión PC ha sido completamente rediseñada y los botones que antes se encontraban a la izquierda se han sustituido por paneles para conseguir más espacion y facilidad de uso. También unificará más las versiones de Pc y Macintosh para que los tutoriales y videos pueda ser compartidos.
• En la versión PC se ha reescrito todo el proceso de comunicación con Photoshop para poder evitar la mayoría de los problemas que se presentaban con las instalaciones multiples o dañadas de Photoshop. Estos errores eran frecuentes al salvar las hojas ( no guardaba el JPG) o al insertar máscaras, por ejemplo.
• Se ha incluído en Preferencias una opción para habilitar / deshabilitar el redimensionado automático de las capas de forma en el relleno automático de plantillas, de este modo el usuario podrá elegir si prefiere que predomine la visibilidad de la fotografía o el diseño de la plantilla.
• Las fotografías pueden ser centradas en la capa de forma o ajustadas en la esquina superior izquierda.
• Las capas de forma pueden ser redimensionadas automáticamente de modo que la fotografía a colocar sea visible en su totalidad, por favor utilice la opción "Insertar foto redimensionando" disponible en el menú del botón derecho del puntero sobre las fotografías.
• Vista previa flotante para hojas, máscaras, cliparts y fondos. La ventana de vista previa se comparte con las plantillas y puede ser redimensionada incluyendo la posibilidad de zoom.
• La ventana de vista previa flotante puede ser anclada a la ventana principal de Album DS y se moverá con la misma, la de fotografías se ancla a la izquierda y la de plantillas a la derecha.
• Nuevos elementos decorativos se han incluído en formato eps, se pueden encontrar en la sección de cliparts y se insertan en la hoja como objetos inteligentes además de ser dibujos vectoriales con lo que se pueden redimensionar y girar sin ninguna pérdida de definición.
• Una nueva sección de estilos se ha añadido al programa, los estilos son efectos para las fotografías o las decoraciones antes mencionadas. Simplemente seleccione una capa de forma ( para fotos) en el hoja abierta y haga doble clic en el estilo en Album DS, éste se añadirá a la capa de forma mostrando su efecto en la foto agrupada, del mismo modo puede añadir efectos a las decoraciones aunque primero deberá seleccionar la capa de la decoración en eps. Al hacer doble click sobre el efecto en Photoshop se abrirá la ventana de ajustes del mismo para poder modificar la sombre, bisel, etc.
  Por supuesto también puede añadir sus propios estilos, son ficheros PSD con el estilo en una capa y un fichero JPG para mostrar el efecto en una miniatura.
• El motor de base de datos se ha rediseñado en la versión PC para mejorar la eficacia y estabilidad. Lamentablemente no es compatible con los proyectos anteriores pero puede abrirlos igualmente, tan sólo deberá introducir nuevamente las medidas del álbum
• Corregido un error en la selección de todas las fotografías en la gestión de fotografias de Mac.
• Al guardar como plantilla Album DS verificará si existe el fichero.
• Se han añadido muchos nuevos estilos, cliparts, plantillas y fondos.
• Se ha descatalogado la versión USB.

• New feature to split all sheets of a project renaming the resulting pages in Oldname_Left and OldName_Right. Pages will be saved to folder Album_Splitted. If a Gutter is used for the album then it will be used to split the pages.
• New central guide in the sheets. This guide is different from the Gutter and will be only used to mark the central guide size ( Photoshop guides)
• Predefined album sizes can be used for the album. The sizes are saved in the Predefined folder, this way album company sizes can be easily added to Album DS. Asuka album sizes have been added until now to the predefined sizes.
• Pictures folder is created after creating a new project or album
• Permanent preview of pictures and templates, once selected a window remains open and shows the picture ( or template) where the mouse points to. This feature doesn' t substitute the preview feature and you may use both to compare pictures. Zooming and panning features are included in this preview window and you may also dock the window to the main Album DS one.
• Pictures can be grouped into 5 groups. Grouping is available in the picture management window where multiple pictures can be added to the album and at the same time grouped by means of the right mouse popup menu, and also can be grouped at the main Album DS window ( right mouse menu). Once a picture is assigned to a group you may use the Filter by group feature available at the right mouse menu to show one group or any combination of groups. This way you may easily design first bride home, groom home, ceremony, etc.
• Included an option to force updating thumbnails in the Pictures auxiliar menu.
• When saving templates it checks if the file already exists.
• 40 new templates are added to the templates being now a total of 600 for the basic version. Please take in mind that templates with special effects like film strips may require extra work to place correctly the shapes.
• 21 new masks have been added also.
• In Mac corrected a bug which moved all files instead of only used pictures by using the clean feature.

We recommend not to import more than the needed for your album, if later you need to import more you only have to use again the picture management tool. Please remember that deleting pictures for the album means actually moving them to the Pictures/Deleted folder instead of deleting. This window is fully resizable.

• Now it 's possible to group masks and backgrounds in different subfolders, you may create their own subfolders and rearrange the files to put the moste used first. Please copy the most used to the first subfolder ( remember to copy also thumbnail files to the corresponding thumbs folder)
• Extras option added, this are special effects for the pictures. You may use it for single document pictures or applied to picture layers in an album sheet.
• Autodesign, now it is possible to design an album automatically. Several options have been included besides the already available "Import from layout.
• Album - Autofill templates: Fills the templates available at the main window with the pictures visible by pressing the Pictures button. This way you may select the templates using filtering if needed, you may also group the needed templates in a new folder to use it later ( please see "Serie ..." templates sample). The templates button shows the number of pictures which can be placed in this templates. Only shown pictures at the main window are used, this means that the "Hide used pictures" option is used to filter the pictures. Of course the templates will be resized to the established album size. During the filling process the shape layers are resized to optimize picture visualization ( except the layers ocupying the whole vertical size of the album); with the "Interactive auto design" option at "Selection and preferences" you have the option to correct the auto designed sheets before they are saved to the project folder.
• Pictures - Auto design: (Available at the right mouse button over pictures ) First open a template ( or create a new one) as usual ( double click in a template thumbnail), then select one picture in the main window and select this option at the Sheet menu. The opened template will be filled with this picture and the next ones available at the pictures main window until all the shapes layers of the templates are filled. Shape layers and pictures visibility will be optimized during the filling process. Once finished please save the sheet as usual to the projects folder.
